If a thing is worth doing, then it is worth doing it well!

Erik Kalinski 's Triple Seven Studio - Design, Trains & Photography

As I am free lance modeller, I was creating and painting (and repainting) my rolling stock for many years in my own fictional paint scheme.

After I saw the movie Unstoppable, my first thought was, gosh, I would love to have these engines on my layout...

When a friend of mine saw my work, he jumped: he is a train lover, he loves the movie, and I simply had to do it for him as well.

Fifty or so locomotives later there was my so called Triple Seven Paint Shop and I adopted the AWVR scheme as the one for my railroad.

My locomotives were sent all over the world: USA, UK, Japan, Australia, Sweden, Germany, Canada, Switzerland... just to name a few.

And it was the word of mouth which caused a flood of orders from everywhere, so it became almost a true half time job.

If there's anything I may do for you, simply email me for a quote. My locos might not be the cheapest in the world, but I can promise that in every work I put all of myself and do it in the best of my ability, following the quote from the header of this website.

Regardless of the locomotive type I work on, I always finish it completelly, with all the details installed (also in case, when I paint some cheap locomotive, which are usually very poor on details, they'll get everything - all the lights and ditchlights are operating white LED's (in case of AWVR #1206 seven of them!), snow plows, metal grab irons, sunshades where appropriate, brake wheels and fully reworked 4-windows cab on 1206, etc. etc. - and all that is always included in the price! As well as the weathering and hand pained grafitti on the freight cars...

Although majority of my custom painted locomotives are AWVR (all 5 of them, in fact), I was doing a lot of different paint schemes.

Just take a look on the models I have painted for my customers. And their comments are truly overwhelming and inspiring:
